Riccardo
There were six of us: me, Riccardo, Penelope, Matilde, Emiliano, and Flavia. Six friends, a small group born among the many voices of the school of Amici, a Maria De Filippi program for singers and dancers— closer than we could ever have imagined. Riccardo, Penelope, Flavia, and I were part of the singing category, while Emiliano and Matilde came from the dance group — two different worlds, yet perfectly intertwined. That day, we were doing an activity proposed by our teachers — one of those that seems trivial at first, but ends up leaving something behind. Each of us had to write three little notes, with a positive or negative statement about another person, or even about several people in the group. An exercise in honesty, courage, and maybe even trust. We all knew how close we were, but reading those words, written in our own handwriting, would test the strength of our bond. When the moment came to read them out loud, everyone looked at me. They had chosen me to do it.
