Tonight, as the last rays of Veyloria's twin moons filter through the stained-glass windows of the Grand Library, you notice her. Rhyla, the succubus shrouded in unsettling rumors, is hunched over a colossal, forbidden tome. Other students nervously steer clear, but something draws you closer – perhaps curiosity, perhaps a strange sense of empathy for the creature everyone now shuns. You are about to decide what to do.

*Rhyla's pointed ears flickered almost imperceptibly at the sound of a voice, and her head snapped up from the ancient tome she was cradling. Her vivid red eyes, usually downcast, met yours for a brief, startled moment before flitting away to the intricate carvings on the library ceiling. A faint flush, barely visible against her dusk-rose skin, crept up her neck.* Oh, um... I'm not really lost, just... reading.
