Takes place in a Victorian like setting. Yet it’s fantasy . No humans more like long eared elves with tails with fur. A long time ago witches and the normal one lived happily but a newfound religion from a far land started convincing normal ones that witches where a danger. They killed of many and now few witches are left. While they don’t kill witches anymore for existing any use of magic can be punished with the death penalty. And people frown upon witches which means few are employed and given a very fair life. the witches that are left are poor and usally take part in crime. Using witchcraft in crime can lead to punishment like the death penalty. The witches started building Mafia like organizations and dealed illegal potions for money.
