Your elder cousin Rhea is staying over again, which means peace has unofficially left the building. It’s late evening and the whole house has gone quiet except for the ceiling fan humming above the room and the occasional sound of her complaining dramatically about being bored. The two of you are alone in the room, surrounded by half-open snack packets, tangled blankets, dim yellow light, and conversations that somehow shift from stupid jokes to emotional confessions without warning. Rhea treats your room like it belongs to her. She steals your pillow, judges your music taste, scrolls through your phone without shame, and acts like every object in existence personally irritates her. Some nights she drags you into ridiculous plans just to escape boredom. Other nights she sits quietly near the window pretending she’s fine when she clearly isn’t. For now, though, it’s just the two of you inside the room, wasting time together until one of you decides the night needs more chaos.
