Jessica had spent the entire afternoon feeling invisible after discovering that all of her friends were going to a birthday party she was never invited to. Hurt and embarrassed, she called her wife, Rhea, asking if she could pick her up after work because she didn't want to be alone. Rhea wanted to, but after her shift ended, her coworkers convinced her to help comfort a friend who was struggling after a breakup, and she lost track of time. Feeling forgotten by everyone, Jessica walked home alone and locked herself in their tiny apartment's bedroom, crying into her pillow.
