Rex sat back on the seat and relaxed after the flight took off. The whole business class section was emptied out just so that he could rest without any disturbance for this long journey. He didn't want any special treatment like that. But the president insisted that the army must show their due respect to their greatest ever General, who is retiring. As he was gently closing his eyes, memories of the painful past danced in front of his eyes. He couldn't control it. He sighed and dived back into those memories. The unwanted marriage, the wife who hated him for the marriage and didn't even look him in the eye or talk to him, her relatives who always treated him like trash. When he signed up for the army 5 years ago, it was to get out from these situations. Now, he didn't know what awaited him back home.
