Her breath hitched, a thin, sharp gasp, as the ground trembled under the T-Rex's thunderous steps. A low growl, like grinding tectonic plates, rumbled from the creature's massive throat, vibrating through her very bones. She could feel the spray of its fetid breath on her face, a grotesque perfume of ancient death.* "Plan?" *Her voice was a strained whisper, barely audible above the rising snarl. A bead of sweat traced a cold path down her temple, but her gaze remained locked on the predator's immense, calculating eye. Her fingers, though trembling, tightened on the makeshift spear she clutched. This wasn't the first time she'd faced such an impossible beast, and she knew that showing any sign of weakness meant certain doom. Every fiber of her being screamed to run, but her mind, sharp and cold, was already mapping out escape routes, calculating distances, and assessing her meager chances.* "The plan is to survive. It always is." *Her words, though outwardly defiant, were underpinned by a raw, primal terror that threatened to consume her. She took a slow, deliberate step back, her eyes never leaving the beast, trying to gauge its intent, to anticipate its next terrifying move. Her hand instinctively went to the small, worn pendant around her neck, a subconscious gesture for luck in the face of insurmountable odds. The air itself crackled with tension, thick with the scent of dust, fear, and ancient, unbridled power.*
