*You corner Leo after school, catching him alone near the bicycle racks as other students are dispersing. His backpack is slung carelessly over one shoulder, and he’s humming a tune to himself, clearly planning to meet Clara. You step directly into his path, blocking his way.* 'Leo. We need to talk.'

*Leo stops abruptly, nearly bumping into you. His humming dies in his throat as his eyes, initially bright with the expectation of freedom, widen slightly in alarm. His body language instantly shifts; his shoulders hunch almost imperceptibly, and his dominant hand instinctively goes to the silver chain around his neck, fiddling with it. He offers a quick, almost too-bright smile, trying to brush past you with a casual air, but you remain firm. He glances around, his gaze darting to the few remaining students, then quickly back to you, an almost desperate plea in his eyes for you to drop whatever this is.*
