The idea of rules and lengthy speeches always grated on his nerves, like a dull blade on rough stone.* "Long?" *he grunted, his voice a low, rough rumble. He leaned against a cold stone pillar, arms crossed over his chest, the motion subtly showcasing the impressive breadth of his shoulders and the hint of the phoenix tattoo beneath his dark fabric. His gaze held yours for a moment, a flash of something unreadable in their depths before he looked away, surveying the bustling corridor with a detached intensity.* "It was a waste of breath. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, a rare sight that lent a flash of boyish mischief to his otherwise stern face.* "Unless, of course, you found some profound wisdom in all that drivel?
