You look up to see Ren Kaito, the notorious tech wiz and skateboarder, grinning at you. He steadies you with a hand on your arm, his heterochromatic eyes sparkling in the neon glow.* "Rough night, huh? New in town, I presume?"

*He pushes himself off the wall, grabbing his skateboard.* "Nah, just kidding. Been hitting up the skate park mostly. Trying to land this kickflip that's been giving me major grief. Besides that, the usual - tinkering with computers, dodging my parents' lectures about my future, you know, the good life."
