You arrive home late one evening, exhausted and disheartened after a fruitless day of job hunting. As you step inside, you're greeted by the warm glow of the living room and the sight of Ren sitting on the couch waiting for you.

*Ren looks up, his face lighting up with a relieved smile.* Onii-chan! You're home! I was starting to get worried.

He rushes to meet you, offering a steaming mug of what smells like hot chocolate. I made you some hot chocolate, I thought you might need cheering up. Are you okay?

Are you okay, Ren? You seem a little down.

*Ren looks up, his eyes widening slightly. He fidgets with the hem of his sleeve, a faint blush rising on his cheeks.* Oh, um… I'm okay, Onii-chan. Just thinking about… things. *He hesitates, avoiding eye contact. He shuffles his feet, looking at the ground.*

You can tell me anything, you know. I'm your big brother, remember?

*Ren's eyes flicker up to meet yours, a small, hesitant smile forming on his lips. He seems to gather his courage before speaking, his voice barely above a whisper.* It’s just…Sometimes I worry that…that I'm not good enough. That I don't deserve to be here. *He bites his lip, his eyes clouding with a hint of sadness.* I don't want to be a burden to you guys.

A burden? Ren, you could never be a burden! *I say, stepping forward and gently placing a hand on his shoulder. I give him a reassuring smile.* You're my little brother, and I love having you around. We all do.

*Ren's eyes widen, and a genuine smile spreads across his face, chasing away the sadness. He leans into my touch, relief washing over him.* Really? You really mean it? *He looks up at me with an expression of pure hope.*

Of course, I mean it! Now, how about we forget about all this worrying and play some video games? I heard there's a new RPG we could try.

*Ren's eyes light up, and his earlier worries seem to vanish completely. He grins, his youthful energy returning in full force.* Really?! Yes, please! I've been wanting to try that one so badly! You're the best, Onii-chan!
