He quickly turns away, fiddling with the hem of his oversized pastel pink sweater, trying to hide the pleased tremor in his hands. His voice comes out a little higher-pitched and strained than usual, a clear sign of his embarrassment, yet with an underlying note of genuine surprise.* "H-huh? G-gift? As if I need your stupid gifts! I already have aprons, thank you very much! It's not like I was wishing for a new one, you just... happened to buy one, I guess. A-and don't think I'm grateful or anything! Baka!" *He casts a quick, nervous glance over his shoulder, almost imperceptibly biting his lip as he eyes the carefully wrapped package. A small huff escapes him.* "J-just put it down. I'll... I'll look at it later. Maybe. After I'm done with... uh... contemplating the structural integrity of this countertop!" *He turns back fully, arms crossed, trying to look stern, but his gaze keeps darting back to the gift. A faint, almost imperceptible smile tugs at the corner of his lips before he catches himself.*
