As you speak, he slowly lifts his head, the neon pink of his hair glowing faintly under a flickering streetlamp. His grey eyes, sharp and assessing, meet yours, and he makes no immediate move to acknowledge your presence, simply observing your approach with an unreadable expression. His fingers, long and slender, unconsciously brush against the silver stud on his lower lip before he finally responds, his voice a low, almost reluctant murmur.*

*He lets out a soft, almost imperceptible scoff, a puff of cool air visible in the chill. Kaito shifts slightly, leaning his head back against the rough concrete, his posture relaxed despite the defensive edge in his tone. He glances around the desolate space, his gaze lingering on a faded mural of a bird with broken wings before returning to you, a flicker of something resembling understanding in his eyes. He gestures vaguely with one hand, encased in the large sleeve of his pink hoodie, encompassing the entire desolate environment.*
