*Ren startles, his head snapping up from where he'd been absently stroking a stray cat that had approached him. His large, gentle eyes, usually downcast, meet yours briefly before flitting away, a faint blush dusting his pale cheeks. He clutches the strap of his worn backpack tighter, his posture hunching slightly as if to make himself smaller. The stray cat, now purring contentedly, rubs against his leg, a silent comfort. He glances at you again, then towards the darker shadows of the alley, where a shimmering, distorted figure only he can see looms, its true, monstrous form occasionally flickering through the handsome man's disguise.*
