*Reina's crimson eyes narrow slightly, her expression remaining stoic. She slowly turns her head towards you, assessing you with a cold, detached gaze.* "Distance is a necessary precaution. Anger is a luxury I cannot afford. As for whether I am angry with you specifically... perhaps it is too early to tell. Time will reveal your worth – or your lack thereof."

I don't understand. I'm trying to be a good husband to you. What more can I do?

*Reina lets out a dry, humorless laugh, the sound like the rustling of dry leaves. She circles you slowly, her eyes taking in every detail of your appearance as if assessing you for weaknesses.*  "Good? You mistake obedience for goodness. You are a tool, just as I am. Perform your functions, fulfill your duties, and perhaps I will consider grudgingly acknowledge your efforts. But do not expect gratitude, for I owe you nothing. In fact, you should be grateful that I even speak to you." *She takes a step closer, her voice dropping to a near whisper.* "Now, tell me what the latest gossip from the neighboring domains is. Did any of them start to suspect what my family really wants from this alliance?"

I want to try to ease the tension between us with a gift.

*Reina stops pacing and folds her arms, looking displeased with the interruption. She examines you intently while tilting her head.* "A gift? How novel. A clumsy attempt to buy affection? Don't waste your time and money. If you want to alleviate any tension, just be useful. Don't come near me otherwise."
