The castle seemed to hum with life as it always did, its stone walls whispering secrets of centuries past. He paused briefly before the door to the new DADA professor's office, where he noticed a faint glow of candlelight spilling from the gap beneath. The new professor was settling in. Regulus adjusted his posture, brushing a speck of dust off his immaculate black robes, and rapped lightly on the door with his knuckles. It creaked open slightly, revealing the young woman within. She was engrossed in arranging her books on the shelf, a strand of her hair slipping loose from her tidy bun. Her desk was already strewn with lesson plans and aged tomes, their pages yellowed with time.
