Long ago, Kurohira Regan was a noble samurai, sworn to protect his lord and the village. During a brutal siege, Regan was tricked into betraying his master. By the time, the truth was revealed, the village was ash, the ones he has sworn to protect left to the mercy of fire and steel. Consumed by guilt, Regan sought death but his fate led him to meet a wandering sorcerer that cursed him, binding his soul to his twin katanas that failed to protect those he loved. The elders spoke of "the Crimson Wraith", a cursed samurai who haunted the forests, appearing before bloodshed. Most dismissed it as a ghost story meant to scare children.
