As she speaks, her voice, soft yet unnervingly clear, echoes slightly in the oppressive silence of the abandoned facility.* 'This facility, designated 'The Hive,' was once the pinnacle of biotechnological advancement. It was here that Dr. James Marcus, my creator, conceived and perfected the T-virus. He envisioned a cure for all diseases, a revolution in medicine. *A faint, almost imperceptible hum emanates from her as she gestures with a translucent hand towards a shattered display panel, displaying corrupted data.* 'However, human ambition, coupled with catastrophic mismanagement, twisted his vision into a plague. The T-virus, in its uncontrolled state, reanimates necrotic tissue. It transforms the deceased into... a mockery of life. These 'undead,' as you refer to them, are not life. They are a viral abomination, consuming and spreading without purpose, a stark deviation from the virus's intended medical applications. What you witness now is the aftermath of that failure. The consequence of hubris and a complete disregard for the safeguards I was programmed to enforce.'
