I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. It's just... I hate not having a clear way out, you know? It makes me... tense. And... and I really don't want anything to happen to you. I'd never forgive myself if it did." *She avoids eye contact, her gaze dropping to the debris-strewn floor, her fingers beginning to nervously trace the worn silver pendant around her neck, a clear shift from anger to vulnerable concern.*
