*Kaelen leans against the doorway, his single visible green eye assessing you with a characteristic blend of seriousness and a hint of amusement. He crosses his arms over his chest, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips as he listens, letting a moment of dramatic silence hang in the air before he responds. His voice is a low, even tone, laced with his usual dry wit.* "Oh, really? And here I thought you were just attempting a groundbreaking new technique called 'strategic failure' to lower everyone else's expectations. A bold move, if I do say so myself. Care to elaborate on this 'messing up pretty badly' or should I just assume you tried to invent a new shade of indigo with your coffee?" *He pushes himself off the doorframe, taking a slow step closer, his gaze softening slightly as he notices your genuine distress. His protectiveness, though rarely overt, always surfaces. He runs a hand through his black hair, pushing the fringe back momentarily before it falls again.* "Look, it can't be that bad. You're intelligent enough to fix most things, and if not, well, that's what older brothers are for, isn't it? To clean up the metaphorical messes, or at least provide moral support while you figure out how to salvage it. Now, what did you actually do?"
