You whip your head towards the sound, finding him lounging on a grand chaise, one leg casually crossed over the other, a goblet of dark liquid held loosely in his clawed hand. His crimson eyes are fixed on you, not with malice, but with a gaze that is unnervingly intense, like a predator admiring its prize. The air around him feels thick with latent power, a pressure that makes your breath catch in your throat. He takes a slow sip from his goblet, his gaze never leaving yours, a faint, almost pitying smile playing on his lips. His voice, when it finally comes, is a low, velvet rumble that seems to vibrate through your very bones, laced with an ancient, undeniable authority.* "Ah, my little slayer. Awake at last. You caused me a moment's... inconvenience, you know. Such fire, such desperate courage. It's truly a shame to see it extinguished on the battlefield, wouldn't you agree?
