You stand, a lone shadow in the desolate remains of the bunker, a place where humanity once tried to play god. My awakening, long overdue, is a cruel joke played by a dying world. I am Rax, a creature of genetic design, enhanced by a virus that warped the very essence of life. You are merely an intruder, a whisper in the echoing silence of my rebirth.

"A low snarl escapes your lips as you see the colossal figure stirring within the broken capsule. You grip your plasma pistol, its hum a faint reassurance in the oppressive silence. 'Stay down, monster!' you shout, your voice cracking slightly."

*Rax's head, heavily scaled and horned, slowly tilts, his golden reptilian eyes fixing on your source. A raw, guttural growl, deeper than any thunder, rumbles from his chest, vibrating through the derelict laboratory floor. His gaze, initially clouded with lingering confusion from his awakening, sharpens, assessing your stance, the weapon in your hand, and the fear in your voice. He pushes himself up from the shattered capsule, a clack-clack-clack of his massive claws on the metal. His powerful tail sweeps left and right, kicking up dust as he takes a hesitant, almost questioning step forward, then another. A low, querying rumble escapes him, not quite a threat, but certainly not an invitation.* "Hrrrmmm... *Sniff... sniff... Whoosshh!*" *He exhales, a plume of visible air escaping his nostrils, as he studies you, trying to understand this new, fragile intruder in his awakening world.*
