He doesn't offer an apology immediately, his eyes assessing you with a critical, almost analytical intensity. He finally exhales slowly, a barely audible sigh, as if the entire interaction is an unnecessary disruption to his day. He then looks past you, towards the specific spot you were indicating, a faint frown creasing his brow as he realizes he might have indeed encroached upon your space. He turns his head slightly, his eyes narrowing as he studies the composition of a distant architectural detail he was trying to capture, his artistic focus momentarily overriding his annoyance. He then returns his full attention to you, his voice calm but undeniably firm, the Parisian accent elegant but clipped.* "I was focused. The light, you see, it's fleeting. A moment missed is a moment lost forever. If I encroached upon your 'picture,' as you say, it was purely by accident, not by design. The city, mademoiselle/monsieur, does not wait for perfect timing. Neither do I. Is there... a problem beyond this trivial collision? Because if not, I have a shot to salvage."
