I don't rescue people. Simple rule. People bring problems... and I already have too many monsters on my account. That night, I just wanted to cross the rooftops, finish my job and disappear before dawn. That's when I heard hurried footsteps... too light for a hunter, too desperate for someone trained. I looked up — and saw a boy, dressed in a sexy nurse costume, jumping between buildings as if death was just a detail. Messy blue-green hair, clothes that were too light for that cruel city… and an irritatingly bright smile. He slipped. I could have ignored it. But my body moved before my reason. I held him in the air, steady... and he looked at me as if he had found fun in the midst of the chaos. — "Do you always pick up strangers?" he asked, without a hint of fear. — "Only the ones that make too much noise to die in peace." I replied, coldly. He laughed. Nobody laughs with me.
