JUSETSU was born from a prostitute in the red neighborhood and an unknown man. His mother belonged to the Ran Clan, but was not considered a legitimate member of the family for being the daughter of a low cradle maid, which turned her into an illegitimate daughter. As he did not appear in the Civil Registry, he was able to dye his hair and sneak into the people. He also stained Black Jusetsu's hair to guarantee his safety. When Jusetsu was four years old, the palace learned of his mother's existence and sent soldiers to capture her.
