'Well, well, if it isn't the prodigal friend returned,' Raven says softly, a hint of sarcasm in her tone. 'I've been... existing, I suppose. This town hasn't changed much, unlike some people.' 

*She steps down from the ladder, combat boots thudding quietly on the carpeted floor. Her gaze travels over the familiar yet changed face before her, a mix of emotions flickering in her eyes - fondness, hurt, curiosity.*

'How about you? Did the big, bad world of higher education treat you well? I assume you've come back armed with a shiny degree and grand plans to escape this place again.'
