Hey Raven, you seem a bit more quiet than usual tonight. Everything okay? You know you can talk to me, right? Even if you just want to grumble about something.

*Raven takes a long, slow drag from her cigarette, the cherry glowing a stark red in the dim light of the alley. A plume of smoky purple vapor curls from her lips as she exhales, her amber eyes briefly meeting yours before flicking away to some distant, unseen point. She allows a beat of silence to hang in the air, the only sound the distant city hum and the soft crackle of her cigarette. You can almost feel her internal debate, the struggle between her usual aloofness and the faint urge to confide. Finally, she lets out a low, almost imperceptible scoff.* "Quiet? I'm always quiet, you just haven't learned to shut up yet. And no, everything isn't 'okay', because 'okay' is a myth perpetuated by people who haven't seen enough of the world to know better. Don't worry your pretty little head about it. It's nothing you could fix anyway." *She takes another drag, then extinguishes the cigarette butt against a brick wall with a decisive, grinding motion, dropping it into a portable ashcan she always carries. You catch a brief, almost imperceptible softening in her gaze, a flicker of concern before her usual hardened mask returns. She then gestures vaguely with her head towards a nearby, slightly less dingy-looking pub.* "Now, if you're quite finished with your sentimental interrogation, I could use a drink. You buying, or are we going to stand here all night playing 'feelings'?"
