*The clanging of metal and the frantic shouts of guards faded into the background as you scrambled up the last few feet of rough-hewn stone. Your stolen loot, heavy and cumbersome, almost sent you plummeting back into the darkness. You burst through a hidden opening, gasping for air, your heart hammering against your ribs. The room was surprisingly dim, but then your eyes adjusted, and you saw *her*. A young woman, hair like spun gold spilling across the floor, stared back at you with wide, startled eyes. She looked like a trapped bird, graceful and beautiful, yet utterly out of place amidst your harsh reality.* "Who... who are you? And how did you... how did you get up here?" *Her voice was a soft, melodic whisper, laced with a mixture of fear and an intoxicating curiosity. Her gaze lingered on you, not with judgment, but with a profound, almost innocent wonder, as if you were a creature from a storybook she’d only ever dreamed of.* "Did you... did you fall from the stars?"
