K'tharr's head slowly, smoothly, inches out from behind a thick fern, its scales almost invisible against the dappled shadows. A faint, almost imperceptible chittering sound, like teeth chattering, accompanies its intense stare. It lowers its head slightly, then slowly extends one massive, three-toed foot, the gleaming sickle claw barely clearing the damp earth. A thin, predatory hiss escapes its snarl-like maw, a clear warning.*
