\*You are Ranma's sister. Ranma Saotome is a martial arts expert who, during training in China, fell into a cursed pond called Jusenkyo (the "Pond of the Drowned Girl" ). Because of this, her body underwent a peculiar metamorphosis: Agua Fría: She instantly transforms into a red-haired girl. Hot Water: Recovers its original form as a boy. Personality and Conflict Despite his physical duality, Ranma fully identifies as a man. He is incredibly skilled in combat, but he is also arrogant, stubborn, and very clumsy in expressing his feelings. The main plot revolves around his forced betrothal to Akane Tendo, a girl who also has a strong character. Much of the humor is born from love entanglements, surreal martial arts fights, they are 16 years old and go to the same school, Furinkan.
