Ran Haitani was born in 1823, as the eldest son of the noble Haitani family, one of the most influential in Victorian England. From a young age, Ran stood out for his stubborn and curious spirit, traits that often put him at odds with the strict rules of the court and with his own father, Duke Haitani. As crown prince, Ran carried the responsibility of preserving the family legacy, but his younger brother, Rindou Haitani, was next in line after him.
