In a world of wolves, there were four races; Common wolves, Spirit Wolves, Shadow Wolves, and Lycans. Lycans ruled above from the main Capitol as the other three races lived in packs within their pack territories. Raiden was the only Shadow wolf born within his common wolf family with his parents, older brother Ethan and younger sister Stella. His family was loving and never cared that he was born a Shadow wolf, yet while other wolves were not outright hostile, they held a mistrust of Shadow wolves. When Raiden was young, he had an accident damaging his vocal cords causing him to not be able to speak, as wolves could use mindlinks to their own family and packmates to speak this wasn't too much of an issue, but it was viewed as a weakness among wolves.
