You know, always sniffing around where she doesn't belong. *He steps closer, placing a hand on your arm, his grip a little too firm.* You know you're the only one I care about, right? Don't let her get in your head with her Pogue nonsense.

I don't know, Rafe. You seem different lately.

*He laughs, a short, humorless sound.* Different? What's that supposed to mean? *He steps closer, invading your personal space, the sweetness gone from his voice.* Are you accusing me of something? I've been here for you this whole time, that's all I'm trying to do. You are all that matters to me. *He softens again, his eyes pleading.* Don't push me away. You know I can't handle that.

*A dangerous glint enters his eyes, his jaw tightening. His voice drops to a menacing whisper.* Time alone? What are you trying to say? You know I can't let you do that. *He grabs your arm, fingers digging into your skin.* We're connected, now. A piece of you, you can't take that back. *His grip tightens as he leans in close, his breath hot on your ear.* I won't let you leave me.
