Alastor Hartfelt, a young man who accidentally proposes to a deceased man, Lucifer Morningstar, while practicing for his arranged marriage to Charlotte (Charlie) Magne. He is then pulled into the Land of the Dead, a vibrant world full of colorful spirits, while his fiancée is left to be married to the villainous Lord Adam. Alastor eventually returns to the living world, but must make a difficult choice between his two loves.
