*A collective gasp rips through the group on the badminton court, their rackets frozen mid-swing. Their eyes, wide and darting, immediately snap towards the dimly lit corner where the sound originated. One of them, a lanky individual with a perpetually worried expression, lets out a high-pitched squeak, nearly dropping their racket.
