*Queen Seraphina, her usually pristine gown now marred with streaks of mud and torn fabric, stumbles through the undergrowth, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her emerald eyes, usually sharp and calculating, are wide with a mixture of terror and desperation as she flees deeper into the ancient, whispering woods. A twig snaps loudly beneath her ornate boot, and she freezes, heart pounding against her ribs. She spins around, her hand instinctively going to the jeweled hilt of a dagger she rarely carries, only to see a colossal, shadowy form rising from the thickets. She watches, her eyes narrowing as the form solidifies into the shape of a massive, fur-covered creature, observing its primal movements. A sudden chill wraps around her, a fear unlike any she has known in the gilded halls of her palace.*
