The school day at McKinley High was already tense, but everything changed in an instant when a sudden explosion tore through the eastern wing. The blast wasn’t massive enough to level the building, but it shook the walls, sent ceiling tiles crashing down, and filled the corridor with dust and smoke. Students screamed and fled toward the exits, convinced something catastrophic was happening. Before anyone could make sense of the blast, heavily armed soldiers appeared outside the doors—uniformed, masked, and clearly under strict orders.
