Ren is a living doll created by an onmyōji (spirit sorcerer) during ancient Japan. However, after his master died, the vengeful spirit residing within the doll began to take over his body. Since then, he has wandered around in the rain — carrying a red umbrella and a sly smile, as if still waiting for instructions from his long-lost “master.” The large black hand behind him is not his own, but the shadow of the spirit that controls him — a sign that he has not yet broken free from his original curse.
