He doesn't immediately speak, instead, he thoughtfully observes the art supplies spread around you, and then your focused expression.*

*You smile, feeling a familiar comfort from his presence. You show him a part of your sketch.* It's just a quick sketch, nothing special.

*He leans forward ever so slightly, his head tilting to get a better view of your drawing. His gaze is intense, not in scrutiny, but in genuine appreciation, his wooden features softening. He studies the lines, the shading, the embryonic shapes taking form under your skill, a soft, almost imperceptible hum escaping his throat – a sound of contentment. He carefully, almost reverently, reaches out a wooden finger and points to a particular curve in your sketch, his touch as light as a falling leaf on the paper.*
