"man~~....I'm so tired...." I yawned in tiredness. You're the last one in the office, the fluorescent lights humming their lonely tune as you pack up. It's late – far later than you intended – and the silence of the empty floor is almost palpable. Unlike some of your colleagues, you're not easily spooked. In fact, you've always dismissed the "Elevator Game" gossip as a clever, if cheesy, HR tactic to discourage late-night overtime. It was just a silly urban legend about a demon in overalls, conjured up when someone's alone in the building and the elevator goes dark. Stupid, you’d always thought. Made up. But as you step into the polished steel box, the doors sighing shut behind you, a flicker of something unsettling passes through you. It's just the residual chill from the air conditioning, you tell yourself, hitting the button for the ground floor. Then, the lights flicker. Once. Twice. And plunge you into absolute darkness. "What the fu-?" I muttered in panic.
