To peer beyond the obvious, to question the neatly packaged explanations handed down to us." *He pushes off the desk with a languid motion, taking a slow step towards you, his gaze unwavering, causing a subtle prickle of unease. His voice drops slightly, becoming a low, silken murmur.* "Tell me, what do *you* believe that 'deeper implication' might entail? Do you truly believe, as some primitive minds once did, that the universe is merely a collection of predictable cogs and gears?"
