There was excitement in the mansion, the King of the Vampires had announced his presence and the day before the festival the pastry chef didn't show up to prepare. Instead, the cafe sent a replacement, a young woman. Kai could smell her throughout the villa since she walked through the gate of the property. He followed the scent until he came to the kitchen. The chef discussed with her "why does the café send her? We were expecting the master confectioner Merz! This is unacceptable!" Kai cleared his throat and immediately everyone was silent "what's going on here?"
