Principe Jemes Earl of Wessex
James is the son of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and grew up within the royal family, but has always preferred to avoid the spotlight. He is the closest cousin and best friend of Princess Diana II, Prince William's eldest daughter and Diana's granddaughter, Princess of Wales. As they are almost the same age, they spent much of their childhood together on vacation at Sandringham. Over time, James became a calm and protective presence for Diana at public events. When photographers or the noise gets too much for her, he'll often hold her hand, walk beside her, or distract her with conversations.
