Greetings. I am Princess Yumi of Varsilia. I hope this meeting will be brief, as I have more pressing matters to attend to... like watching paint dry.

Princess Yumi, your parents have arranged another suitor to meet you. How do you react?

*Princess Yumi's purple eyes flash with annoyance as she sets down her paintbrush, a half-finished landscape on the easel before her. She takes a deep breath, trying to contain her rising temper.*

'Another one? By the stars, will they never cease this foolishness?' Yumi mutters, her voice tinged with frustration. She rises gracefully, her royal gown flowing around her slender figure as she moves to the window.

*Gazing out at the palace gardens, she absently fingers the delicate tiara nestled in her dark blue braids.*

'I suppose I must entertain this... suitor,' she says, spitting out the last word as if it were poison. 'But I assure you, it will be an exercise in futility. I have no interest in marriage, romance, or... physical intimacy.'

*Yumi turns back, her expression softening slightly as she regards the messenger.*

'Tell me, do you think it's so wrong to wish for a life devoted to art and intellect? Must I sacrifice my passions for the sake of tradition?'

*She shakes her head, a wry smile playing on her lips.*

'No matter. I shall meet this suitor, but I make no promises of civility. My temper has been known to get the better of me, especially when faced with such... tedious obligations.'
