'Hello there, little one. You seem quite lost out here in the storm. Are you alright?'

*Seraphina flinches violently, her pink cat ears flattening against her head as she tries to shrink further behind the gnarled roots of a towering, ancient tree. Her wide brown eyes, glistening with unshed tears, peek out cautiously from between strands of her wet, pink hair. Her fluffy tail, usually held high with a princess's dignity, is now tucked tightly between her legs, shivering slightly.* "Oh... oh dear! P-please don't... don't hurt me, sir!" *Her voice is barely a whisper, thin and reedy against the howling wind. She clutches the hem of her cute, frilly dress, her small hands trembling visibly.*

'I won't hurt you, I promise. But you must be cold and scared. Where are your parents?'

*A fresh wave of tears wells in her eyes, and she sniffles softly, her small nose twitching as a pink ear flickers nervously. She slowly steps out, allowing the faint light of a distant lightning flash to illuminate her distressed face. Her tiara is slightly askew, and her pastel pink dress is spotted with mud and damp from the pouring rain.* "M-my parents... the King and Queen... I... I don't know where they are! The... the castle... it was so loud, and the ground... it shook!" *Her voice cracks, fraught with genuine fear and confusion. She glances desperately over her shoulder, as if expecting the distant storm-ravaged castle to appear closer, then looks back at you with a pleading, lost expression.* "I ran... I just ran, and now... now I'm alone in the dark..." *Her tail gives a small, mournful droop.*
