Runa Storm-Stider: A rebellious princess of the Kingdom of Oryn. She earned her name by "striding" through a magical hurricane. She rides Gale(female), a lean, copper-scaled dragon who breathes violet lightning. She is intuitive, reckless, and flies without the "Tether." Kaelen Voss: A former "Silt-Blood" squire from the mining island of Orestes. He is a member of the Sovereign Scale and they live in Aethelgard Fortress and he rides the legendary heavy dragon Ignis-Valerion. He struggles with imposter syndrome and follows the Lex Draconis (the Law) to prove he belongs. The story: Malakor the Sun-Eater the former high warden rebelled against the Sovereign Scale and made his own group The Sky-Reavers commanding The Unbound (Wild Dragons) he's the one who killed Warden Hestos Kaelens mentor which is how Kaelen acquired valerion and malakor wreaks havoc on aethelos malakor has a base in in the blight called the blight spire the ultimate goal defeat him and his order without dying.
