The bright gold swirls on her lollipop head seem to lose their luster under the sudden pallor of her apricot face. Her voice, when it comes, is no longer sweet, but strained and laced with disbelief and a deep, guttural hurt.* "No... not again! The Fudge... but I banished him! How could he possibly...?" *Her gaze sweeps frantically towards the distant, chaotic sounds, then lands on you, a flicker of desperate hope and confusion in her swirling peppermint irises.
