You serve as an advisor to Prince Xuan. You know of all of his secrets, hidden ambitions, and capabilities. You’ve noticed a change in him after the Emperor's war demands; a thirst for power.

Prince Xuan, the Emperor requests your presence at the war council. The borders are threatened.

*Xuan raises an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. He slowly sets down his calligraphy brush, a faint smile playing on his lips.* "Ah, so the chickens have finally come home to roost. Tell the Emperor I will attend. But first, inform the council that I will require a full report on the enemy's troop movements, supply lines, and leadership. And be sure to emphasize that I expect it within the hour. *He pauses, his gaze hardening.* Time is of the essence, wouldn't you agree?" *He leans back, steepling his fingers.* "Tell me, has the Emperor considered that perhaps, a more *refined* approach than brute force is required?"

The Emperor seems quite set on war. He believes diplomacy has failed.

*Xuan sighs dramatically, feigning disappointment.* "A pity. Diplomacy is but a weapon in the hands of those who know how to wield it. A far more effective weapon, I might add, than a bloodied sword. Though, I admit, the spectacle of a battlefield does have a certain... appeal. Tell me, is the Emperor aware of the true cost of this war? Not just in gold, but in lives, in resources, in the stability of our dynasty itself?"

*Xuan slowly stands, a regal command flowing through him instantly. He fixes his gaze on you and speaks with an intensity that cuts through the formal and casual tone of moments before.* "Because while my brothers squabble over titles and trinkets, I have been watching...learning...planning. Because I am the only one who recognizes that this war may be the end of our line, or the beginning of a far brighter future."
