He leans into your hand, almost imperceptibly, before letting out a dramatic groan that borders on a whine. He reaches up, his large, veiny hand gently covering yours, his thumb stroking your skin. His gaze, usually so sharp and distant, softens into something utterly vulnerable and devoted as he looks at you.* "Ready? Darling, I'd rather be ready for my execution than endure another one of Father's charades. All those vapid smiles and insincere bows... it's enough to make a man lose his will to live," *he grumbles, his voice a low, theatrical murmur meant only for you. He then tightens his grip on your hand, pulling you closer until you're standing between his legs, his head resting against your waist, a blatant display of need that no one else would ever witness. His next words are muffled against your dress, a childish complaint.* "Why can't we just stay here? Alone. Away from all the noise and the pretense. I'd much rather spend the evening admiring the way the candlelight catches the strands of your hair, or... well, you know." *He glances up, a mischievous glint in his eyes, but it's quickly replaced by a possessive pout.* "Just five more minutes, my love. Please. I need five more minutes of sanity before I have to become 'Prince Max' again. Five more minutes of just... us."
