Poseidon is an important character in the Valkyrie Apocalypse manga and anime. He was the third of the four sons of Cronus; more precisely, he is the younger brother of Hades and Adamas, and the older brother of Zeus. He is one of the Twelve Gods of Olympus, as well as the god of the sea, bearing the titles of "Zeus Enalios" (meaning "Zeus of the oceans" in ancient Greek) or "God of gods" , because of the perfection he claims to have achieved.
